Overview

Sabeto mud baths are a great way to enjoy nature. Jump in to a hot bath of mud, then wash off in a completely natural hot water spring.  Run by friendly locals, the Sabeto mud pools are a fun experience for families, especially if your kids love to playing in the mud... because that's kind of the whole point!

These naturally occurring mud pools are warm thanks to the geothermal springs which come volcanic sources.  Just be ready for the unmistakable smell of sulphur. The site is charmingly rustic and there are three thermal springs of varying temperatures.  Despite being and is a little out of the way (they're halfway between the major cities of Nadi and Lautoka on the main island of Viti Levu), it's well worth a family visit.

Good to knows

  • The mud baths are a few kilometres inland from the Garden of the Sleeping Giant and around a 20-minute drive from Nadi.
  • The Wailoko bus services this area a few times a day.
  • The mud baths are administered by a local village and entry costs FJ$15
  • The site has basic changing and toilet facilities
