Overview

London's Natural History Museum is a great way to spend a free day in London. Once of the most popular places to visit in in London for kids, the Natural History Museum splits its exhibits into four colour-coded zones, each with its own things to explore. The Museum is famous for its dinosaur collection - come face to face with a towering T. rex in and discover a feathered Deinonychus. Ever wonder what happens in the Museum when everyone's gone home? The Dino Snores sleepover gives kids aged seven to 11 the chance to explore the Museum after dark and take part in fun, educational activities. The following morning, breakfast is served bright and early and there's a live animal show before the Museum opens to the public.

Good to knows

  • Some exhibits and events (e.g. Dino Snores) do require payment
  • In winter the museum installs an outdoor ice-rink so you can skate in the city
  • Entry is free
