Overview

Travelling around Sydney Harbour on a ferry is a fun way for kids and families to visit iconic locations and see Sydney from the water. The ferry fleet have been part of Sydney for over 135 years, taking passengers to and from Circular Quay, Manly and even Parramatta. Closer to the city, visit Darling Harbour, Cockatoo Island or Kirribilli and Luna Park. You can go to North Head and the Q Station, Sydney Olympic Park and Taronga Zoo. There are so many places to go and things to do around Sydney that you can get to on a Sydney Harbour Ferry.

Good to knows

  • Buy an Opal card and add credit and use it to travel across Sydney’s transport network – including ferries, buses, train and light rail.
  • The entire Sydney Ferries fleet is pram and wheelchair accessible.
  • On Sundays families can travel across all routes and modes of transport on the Sydney Transport network for $5.
